Hair by Bennie & Friends

Ashton is my hairstylist. She gives a fabulous head massage and shampoo. Ashton is meticulous in her hair cuts and coloring. My hair always gets me compliments and the best part is she tells me how to style my hair to look like the day she cut it. Her prices are very reasonable and she gave me a 50% discount on a cut and color on my first visit. The savings paid for my next hair cut. I know I can always get the latest style and color and their products are top of the line. I recommend getting a young hairstylist like Ashton because they are trained by Bennie himself and their prices are excellent.
Bennie?s is the best salon in the Louisville area hands down.

I've been going to Hair by Bennie and Friends for over 2 years and I will never go anywhere else. I LOVE my hair and I LOVE my stylist. Bennie and Friends is a great place and I am treated like a queen there. I love the scalp massages when they wash my hair, and they even have their own product line - BennieFactor. I won't leave the house without my B Confident styling spray and B Tenacious design fix. Also, my stylist always spends plenty of time with me and teaches me techniques on how to style my hair at home. I highly recommend this place!

I have had the privelage of having my hair styled at Bennie and Friends for about 5 years now. I always feel welcomed and pampered each time I visit. To start each visit, I am greeted by the friendly receptionists who never fail to serve me with a beverage of my choosing. My stylist, Paula, is the best! She always takes the time to talk with me before we begin to ensure that I get exactly what I want out of my visit. Sometimes I am unsure, but she is great at giving me styling advice. From the color, to the cut, to the wonderful shampoo and head massage, the entire visit never fails to be relaxing and enjoyable. I always leave feeling like a million bucks. Some would argue that the prices seem high, but I don't mind paying the price I pay for the wonderful experience I have each I visit. I have recommended Bennie and Friends to several of my friends, and for those who decide to visit, I have never heard a single complaint. Bennie and Friends also carries their own line of styling products called BennieFactor that are incredible. I have used their products for years and they have always helped to keep my hair smelling good and looking great! I can't imagine trusting any other salon to my hair..they are the best!!!!

I love love love Bennie and Friends. I went there after reading that they were one of the best five salons in Louisville, KY. Before going, I also researched Bennie Pollard (the owner) and he and the salon have won countless awards and have been featured in magazines like Glamour, etc. Whenever I go, my stylist is always Ashli Thompson. She's fairly young, but many of the stylists are. Don't let that fool you though, they have a tremendous amount of talent. I always get a cut and a color (with style included) and it costs me about 115 bucks. Of course, that seems pricey but my mother was used to getting her hair cut and colored at WAL-MART of all places for 150 bucks!! That is, until I brought her to Bennie and Friends. Like I said, she and I both love it. They take so much care of you. They are always happy to get me anything I need (beverage, reading material, etc) and always listen very carefully to what I want. My mom has struggled to be satisfied with any hair process she has ever had done, I took her to Bennie and Friends today and she was SO happy with the results. So anyways, just try Bennie and Friends - you'll leave a very happy customer!

I moved to Louisville over four years ago and I was constantly making the 2 1/2 hour drive back home to have my hair cut and styled because I just could not find the right stylist for me.until a co-worker took me to Bennie and Friends! I absolutely love everything about my visits and I have been happy with the results every single time!
Amy is my stylist and she does an amazing job! And she is always up for styling my hair differently with each visit! I never feel rushed. yet I am out of there in usually 45-50 minutes!
I also adore their product line. amazing and smells incredible!
I recommend Bennie and Friends to everyone I know!

Everyone in staff there is a professional; you are treated like a celebrity and I love the entire experience. If you want Jennifer Anniston hair then they will give you Jennifer Anniston hair!!

It's absolutely worth the money!

This is the coolest salon in Louisville. They even have a "color bar", a modern room where you can actually enjoy getting your hair colored and not be in total boredom. My stylist, Kelly, always cuts my hair perfectly. I leave there feeling like a million bucks!

I just wanted to say if you are looking to be pampered and feel like #1 then Hair by Bennie and Friends is the place to be. I work and live out of town and the one thing that I look forward to the most is my trips to Louisville, that is the time when I can relax, and relax I do. At Bennie and Friends I am greeted by the friendliest staff that I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. My time spent is very worth while. I am listened to by everyone on staff so that all of my needs and wants are are met. I am very busy like most people today with career and family, the time I spend at their salon helps me to find my balance at least for the moment. Each time I walk out their door I feel beautiful, relaxed and WOWED. This is most certainly not your typical Louisville salon.

Bravo to their entire talented staff

This is a very modern looking, large, nice salon. The owner is a doll and several of the stylists go around the country teaching classes so they are very skilled. Bennie even has his own product line that is really good. The first cut I got here was a great, a big change from my previous look. I was happy even though it was $50 just for the cut. Over the course of a year the price raised every time I got my cut until it was $65. I was never told each time that the price had gone up. After they had reeled me in the stylist seemed to spend less time on me and even when I said I wanted something a little different she would just trim up the cut I had and give me a blowout instead of styling my hair in a different look. The last straw was when I paid $65 just for highlights that left my hair frizzy and she didn't even dry and style my hair, just sent me to the corner to blowdry it myself. The people working there aren't real big on getting to know the clients and some of them really seemed to look down their noses at me.

When you feel like being treated like a queen Hair by Bennie??s and Friends is just the right place to have this done. However, be ready to pay for that experience! Hair by Bennie??s is way too expensive especially for the Louisville area. You could expect to pay there ridiculous prices in a large city but not in Louisville. My hair usually runs me close to $200. This is for a cut and highlights. My hair only comes down to my chin, at most. Their shampoos are out of this world! Gotta love the shampoo!
